I AM THE CLAY

Day 4 on my Spiritual Renewal Leave. Days have been interesting; first couple of days I felt guilty not working.  I'm so conditioned to work, but I rested. One the third day, July 4th, Carol and I spent the day with another pastor friend and his family. Great day in the Lord!
Today, I'm in a sort of "funk." Can't really explain it, but started reading in Isa. 18 about the potter and the clay. I feel like I'm the clay!! My prayer today, "Lord, if You're trying to remold me, I want You to know... I'm Yours!
I'm reminded of Wesley's Covenant Prayer:
I am no longer my own, but Thine. Put me to what Thou wilt, rank me with whom Thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering. Let me be employed for thee or laid aside for thee, exalted for
Thee or brought low for Thee. Let me be full, let me be empty. Let me have all things, let me have
nothing. I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal. And now, O glorious and
blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Thou art mine, and I am Thine. So be it. And the covenant
which I have made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.

     Amen!
